When we first met him, he calls himself Jin of the Gale. That's when he is wearing the mask and armor stuff. Later, in ep 6 I believe, he reveals himself to be Hitoshi. A possible reason he hides his indentity at first is because he wants to see how good a blader Tyson is.

PS: In the english version that i watch his english name is Hiro.
