Another day, another fight. Rae had been arguing with Dagur over the hunt they were on for the past hour and was not making any progress. He had scared off the deer she had been stalking by being his usual rowdy self and she was on the verge of snapping.
"You idiot!"
"What did you just call me!?" Dagur wrinkled his nose and advanced on her.
"You heard me, Wussboy! You're an idiot!" She stood her ground and folded her arms. "You just scared off the deer!"
Dagur's face softened into a playful smirk and he chuckled. "Oh that? Yeah, I did."
"You sure sound so cut up about it!" She frowned at him and pursed her lips. "That was going to be our dinner later."
He just shrugged in response and grinned even wider, making odd snorting noises as if he was trying to stifle giggles. Which, in reality, he actually was.
"It's almost as if you did it on purpose..." Rae wiped a hand over her face and turned her head away. She felt that if she looked at his childish grin any longer she'd cram her fist down his throat.
"Well, duh!" Dagur chuckled heartily. "That's because I did!"
Rae's head snapped back round and she glared at him fiercely. "Why in Odin's name would you even d-"
Dagur instantly interrupted her, reached out a hand and took hold of her face, squishing her cheeks between his fingers and thumb. "Because, how else am I going to get to see that stupid, squishy, pouty face you make? Hm?"
Rae paused for a moment before she errupted in anger, flailing wildly at him. "You... You..."
Dagur ducked and dodged her fists and grinned triumphantly. "I WIN!"
