Description
Description
The concentration for my Theatre major in college was Costume Design, but as of last night I had not yet attempted traditional Japanese attire. <br />

This preliminary sketch was inspired by the illustrations in "The Tale of Genji" by Murasaki Shikibu, widely believed to be the first true novel ever written (and by a woman, no less). The illustrations accompanying the text are heavily stylized, so that is why my sketch is also a very stylized piece.
