This was inspired by a Tumblr post that discusses how Héctor would handle being a grandfather in the living world nearly a century after his death. Times have changed drastically, and many medicines and home remedies that seemed safe and natural when he was alive are now taboo, such as putting whiskey on an infant's gums to numb the pain of teething, or taking cocaine for something as innocuous as the common cold.
