Think you could ever give me some tips on photoshop?

Try the burn tool to get things darker, and the doge tool to make things lighter. Works great for me. But keep a copy of the layer before you start on a major change (burning/dodging, whatever you'd call it.) I'm not sure If they're called different things in different versions of Photo Shop, but that's my advice.^^
