Description

The second piece in the three-part set I did at the end of last school year. (And I'm not uploading the third. It's boring, trust me.)

The person is my sister, and the tree is sort of one we have in our backyard, except not, 'cause it's a . . . something (maple? I don't know . . .), but it's not a Weeping Willow.

India ink (with a stick!), paper, 16"x18"

Thanks! ^_^ I actually really did do that for a few pictures, until she started complaining that her hair was getting stuck and tangled . . . .

Heh, thanks! I didn't want to use a stick at first, but my teacher sort of made me, and in the end, I was glad she did.

Technically, it was a chop stick that I got from this Chinese restaurant that I wittled down a little . . . ^^

You're the second one that's said something about a birch . . . so from now on, that's what the tree in the picture is. ^_^

Aw! I would miss the trees. They've been cuttin' 'em down left and right here to build U-Store-Its. There are, I swear, three of those things within a mile of my house. :/

I really like this one. Its still got the sketchy feel of the other but its cleaner. The idea is interesting, too.

(Maybe its a very young weeping birch?)

And the tree is a . . . oak/maple . . . thing. The neighbors across the lake have a Weeping Willow, and I kinda wish we had one 'cause they're really pretty. But nope, we got a dumb li'l . . mapaok.
