Mostly every crossover character in this comic won't look exactly like their counterparts in the original media. Jessie and James here have different uniforms, while Meowth is more of a summon, looking closer to a normal cat then his Pokemon counterpart.

There will be more crossover characters from different animes and such. Some will be unchanged (Being that they could fit in the Naruto-verse the way they look anyway.) and some will be more changed then others. Some of the crossovers may have different origins even.

So Meowth is a summon here that Jessie and James use to scout out the battlefield with it's enhanced eyesight.

*facepalm* Okay, you got me. Good trick...
I saw the thumbnail and thought "Is that Jessie and James? No, it can't be Jessie and James... otherwise it's in the wrong category... right?" But then I clicked on it and... "OhEmEfEjEe!!! It is Jessie and James! And it's not in the wrong category!" :gonk:

Everything is going to be more or less "Naruto-ized" So perhaps you can view these as fan characters based on the Pokemon characters. They aren't the only crossover characters that are going to be in this comic. The only other crossovers I'll confirm right now are from tales of Symphonia.
