Blade Runner: Roy Batty for Robert

This is Roy Batty, who was played by Rutger Hauer, in the movie, Blade Runner. I drew this for my brother, Robert, who really wanted me to draw Roy - every time he'd come over to check on how I was doing (when I was on my laptop), Hwang would ask me if I was drawing Roy Batty yet; since we really love that character... and I'd always apologise, saying I was drawing something else at the moment...

...so, I finally got around to drawing Roy for my brother (which was done in April, a while back), and I'm happy that he really liked it; and that Robert, along with Samuel, and our Mom was real impressed with it.

I, of course, did use a few photographs for reference; and my brothers said it looked like a photograph of Rutger Hauer almost... but absolutely no tracing was involved (I don't usually trace, and if I do, I state it ...)

Anyways, I'm really proud of this, and it took a few hours, during the middle of the night, until the early morning... don't remember how many, but I had fun, pretty much.

I used Corel Painter, and my favourite brush, which is the tinting brush. The lighting effect was from PhotoShop, which was the only thing done in PhotoShop here.
