I have a question...
is Kohana based off of Klonoa?
And by his name, I guess his name means 'little flower' or something, cause 'hana' means flower in Japanese.
but I could be wrong.

Kohana and Kisho are both based off of Klonoa

Kisho is like Klonoa's Twin brother and Kohana is a Cousin to Klonoa (they are not related in ways)

and yes, Kohana mean little flower
