Description
Okita Souji was a real person, like several of the characters in Rurouni Kenshin.A child prodigy at swordsmanship,he was one of the greatest swordsman of his time and Leader of the First Squad of the Shinsengumi during the Japanese civil war/Bakamatsu, all while dying of tuberculosis...he survived the war, only to die of TB a few years later at about 26 years of age.
He was also the inspiration for the much loved character Soujiro Seta...
