The Garm was a giant, dog-like alien living on Space Station Terminus in the 5th Doctor episode "Terminus". Though everyone was afraid of him, he was really a nice guy, trying to help save victims of the deadly Lazars disease...Oh yeah, he also helped the Doctor save the entire universe...
The Garm was portrayed by R.J. Bell.
The name Garm is referance to a Norse mythological demon-dog who stood guard over the gates of Helheim, land of the dead (One of several places you could go at death...)...
