Mola Molas

Another very old pic. The Mola Mola is a very large fish, about 15' from fin to fin, weighing over a thousand pounds (As adults). They are also known as Headfish, Ocean Sunfish, and Moonfish. They're pretty much inedible, and their brains are so small they've been known to swim directly into small boats...and keep on swimming...They often lie on their sides on top of the water, as if tanning themselves. Despite their huge size, they are almost flat when when viewed head on, and they are almost totally harmless, their mouths are only large enough for jellyfish, small squid and the like.
