Hmmm...Josh Foley was your typical anti-mutant teenager who somehow got hooked up with the evil, homicidal cyborg Donald Pierce and his new group of mutant-hating "Reavers" (How the mighty have fallen! Pierce once had an ARMY of vicious cyborg Reavers, now he's forced to recruit young kids...). Anyway, Josh wasn't quite as violent as Pierce had hoped, and soon found out he was a mutant after healing one of his fellow "Reavers" who'd been injured in battle (Naturally, he couldn't tell Pierce, who'd have killed him, and the other "Reaver" was unconscious and didn't know either...). He revealed his mutation when he decided to save an injured New Mutant instead of Pierce, who'd been badly injured by a kid called Wither...well, let's just say Josh wasn't welcome with the "Reavers" anymore...or with his parents, who disowned him for being a mutant, forcing him to go live his former enemies at Xavier's, who don't seem to willing to let him forget it...even after he joined the New Mutants and took the name Elixir.

Later Josh tried to use his powers to heal his crazed and feral teacher Wolfsbaine (Who he had a crush on), and was nearly torn to shreds. His body eventually managed to (painfully) heal itself, without even a (physical) scar, but his skin, hair and eyes turned gold.

Then, because of a misunderstanding, both girls he liked left him...and then he couldn't save the injured Northstar's life, and he's miserable...Poor kid...

I'd say the poor kid needs a hug, wouldn't you?

Please, no profanity in comments,
thank you

This is based on a panel in an issue of The New Mutants.
