Aris

Aris was a member of a tribe called the Kinda on the Doctor Who episode "Kinda", featuring the 5th Doctor. Male Kinda are all mute, but when Aris was possessed by an evil creature called the Mara, he was able to speak, or rather, the Mara used him to speak for it's own ends. Eventually the Mara was driven out, and I assume Aris was fine...<br />

The Mara, of course, survived and came back on another planet to terrorize other innocent people, I think it's immortal...<br />
