First Realism Attempt

Description

I took my first shot at realism here. The overall suckiness can be improved over time and practice. But the mouth is wonky, and I'll probably fix it soon.
I intend to start studying realism more. After all, it's the base of art, I can't do much without it.

Neat! Pretty good for you first try! Wee bit of critque; the biggest 'visual' offset is the angle of nose isn't quite in sync with the angle of her face (overall). (I hope I didn't phrase that too harshly D:) I like her eyes and hair tho It's cuuuuuuuute~

That's kinda funny :O I'm currently intensly studying realistic art. (That's the reason I haven't posted much...) It's totally confusing, because I have to 'let go' of my previous conceptions and methods, it hurts D:

I'm using 'Drawing the Head & Figure' by Jack Hamm, It's pretty good but why is it that ALL anatomy books only teach you to draw either curvy chicks with fat hair OR buff, muscular, middle-age dudes?

Where's the anatomy book on drawing average looking skinny-@$$ dudes?

Sorry went off on a rant XD, But it's good! When drawing realisism you've gotta be okay with 70% of the stuff you draw at first is gonna be crap. I FEEL YOUR PAIN SISTEEEEEER. lol
