Flykyr doodle

I've been working on "ten minute sketches" with my tablet. The idea is that I want to learn how to draw well and quickly with the tablet, so I am trying to draw pictures in ten minutes or less. I don't want to spend a lot of time on any one picture. This keeps me from getting bored with a picture, and also keeps it from getting too complex. If I like the results well enough, then I try to add color via some simple airbrushing.<br />

This is my second attempt at doing a ten-minute sketch. My first attempt was Flint, the weasel warrior, and that was actually a failure because I spent too long on it (although it came out quite nicely). This picture is much more in the line of what I want with a ten-minute sketch. The line-art took about five minutes to draw, and I spent about fifteen minutes coloring. Most of that time was actually spent erasing colors that got outside of the lines. o_o;<br />

BTW, this is Flykyr Skysong, my little golden dragon that I've been drawing since 8th grade. I've been drawing her ever since I started drawing seriously, actually.
