Vanessa, who debuted in KOF 2000, was a departure from the average teenage fighting female character. Oh, how I loved her (though I still haven't gotten to play her games yet). A babe like most other fighting femmes, yet still very tastefully presented. <br />

Mai, OTOH, is the original fighting game floozy. Her winpose introduced the "bounce" animation to games back in 1992 (her catchphrase "Nippon ichi" sounded like "Me bouncy" to us English-speaking players) and gaming's never been as clean since. <br />

Well, there's a price to be paid for all that flouncing around, as Mai's slightly elder teammate Blue Mary knows all too well.<br />
