Description

Description
Saltwater
Manga style.

A style that I am not familiar with;
just wanted to try this style.

(After Kuu, from Ripples)
Painted this young schoolgirl in a fairly soft way, with an innocent look.

Painted in Corel Painter.
(and framed in Photoshop)

TeeJay87I've given up drawing this style from couple of reasons, including my own preferences rabid fandoms being plague on dA and Storm-Artists.net.

Many people consider Jim Davis's style as manga/anime, apparently due to overgrown eyes Garfield and company have, despite the original animations (1980-93) are typically Western. I mean, if you compare such "Garfield and Friends" with other cartoons, the characters in PAWS Inc. cartoon move smoothly just like in shows issued by Warner Bros or Hanna Barbera; not as rapidly as in typical Japanese anime ( "Pokemon", "Dragon Ball", "Yaiba" or "Naruto" ).
