TeeJay87Have you thought about drawing other characters from Garfield universe ?

Reference pictures for them can be found on Garfield Wiki, divided between male list http://garfield.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Male_Characters and female list http://garfield.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Female_Characters

SaltwaterMaybe Odie, or the Duck or the Clown?

TeeJay87 on April 20, 2016, 5:41:46 AM

TeeJay87 on
TeeJay87Wade can be good choice, since his photo gallery is being expanded http://garfield.wikia.com/wiki/Wade_Duck . Odie has smaller gallery http://garfield.wikia.com/wiki/Odie/Image_Gallery , though finding reference pictures for him won't be difficult.

Binky the Clown may be demanding, since there aren't many reference pics with him http://garfield.wikia.com/wiki/Binky_the_Clown ; there should be videoclips on YouTube with him though (search for "Screaming with Binky Garfield and Friends" ) .

TeeJay87If you ever decide to draw females from Garfield universe, there's plenty of quality reference pictures for them, some examples are below:

1) Arlene http://garfield.wikia.com/wiki/Arlene/Image_Gallery

2) Penelope http://garfield.wikia.com/wiki/Penelope_Pussycat/Gallery - from all the seven episodes she has appeared in; Penny performs best face expressions in The Second Penelope Episode, The Garfield Musical and The Guy of Her Dreams;

3) Mona http://garfield.wikia.com/wiki/Mona/Gallery - the second biggest image gallery on Garfield Wiki

4) Kitty http://garfield.wikia.com/wiki/Miss_Kitty

5) Lola http://garfield.wikia.com/wiki/Lola
6) Penny's mother http://garfield.wikia.com/wiki/Mrs._Pussycat

7) last but not least, Jon's date from comics and motion pictures http://garfield.wikia.com/wiki/Liz_Wilson

alitta2Looks awesome! It's just like if uncle Jim had done Garfield in a painting sometime around '82-'83 :)

TeeJay87Didn't know you also like Garfield.

FirielA bit? I wouldn't list him as a primary fandom of mine, and haven't watched much of the cartoons, but I always liked the comic strip as a kid. :)

TeeJay87I assume you mean original comics strips since 1978, don't you ?

I ask, because there are new comics in the USA, issued by Kaboom! Studios  http://www.kaboom-studios.com/series/title?series_id=837&name=Garfield and they differ much from standard 3-panel comics strips.

For comparison:
- http://i.huffpost.com/gadgets/slideshows/316966/slide_316966_2910055_free.jpg this is standard 3-panel comics strip by Jim Davis;
- http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/w25/garfield_daily/12/28/ga081228.gif - Sunday special by Jim Davis, version of 3-panel published every Sunday;
- https://graphicpolicy.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/garfield_12_preview_page_6.jpg - the new comics issued by Kaboom! Studios, notice how much does it differ in layout from Jim Davis originals.
