I like what you have done with him, How you kept some elements of the original but added other elements of your own style. I really love how you did his eyes, they look very intense, which is fitting.

Painting after the Masters is a very interesting exercise.
You can learn a lot, esp. if it is not your "natural" style;
you take new paths and experiment new or different styles. :-)

yeah when I saw this I went and reviewed his work online, having not looked at it much for a few years, and now I've all sorts of interesting things I want to try inspired by what I saw. wishing I had more time for art.
