Waiting right here

After I spent hours drawing and coloring this, I altered light and contrast in the scanned image. Basically done with colored pencils, and ink for the black background and each guy's eyes.
My entry for a Knuckles Love contest at a club on dA. It didn't win of course, but I'm darn happy with it all the same.

The story behind here would be Knuckles looking back at when Mighty said goodbye after the incidents on Newtrogic High. The armadillo said something cocky about paying Angel Island a visit some time(he knew very well it's forbidden ground!)
Knuckles only huffed at it then, but he's waiting for him to try. Which he probably will. '-^
