Here you have my original character for the Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark-Hunter series, Chimeris at the bottom, who'd rather be called Chi (pronounced Kai), and my friend's original character at the top, Alastor, who'd rather be called Ali, fighting. Here's the back story:

Chi, a goddess of the Greek pantheon, was killed when she was 18 by an unknown assailant, but was brought back as a Dark-Hunter like so many who chose to take an Act of Vengeance. Shortly afterward, her friend, Ali, age 19, a god also of the Greek panthenon, was killed and brought back like her. Of course the millennia pass and both are living lives as college students and Dark-Hunters. However... even though the years passed, Chi wondered who had murdered her and decides to do some research. To her dismay, she finds out that it was Ali that killed her using Artemis's diktyon (a net that steals the power of a god or goddess) to take away her goddesshood and kill her for her power, unknown to her that he was only half-god. Angered, she goes to confront him... ending in an all-out battle between the once best of friends, now turned enemies. During the chaos, pain shoots through Chi's body and skeletal dragon wings sprout from her back and her eyes turn red with cat-like pupils. Her weapon, her scythe, transforms into a more demonic state as evil energy pulses through her body. Noticing the look of surprise on her face, Ali goes in to thrust and Chi holds her scythe in front of her to block...
