Gunslinger Girl is perhaps my favorite manga/anime series. Of all the mangas/animes I've read/watched Gunslinger Girl is the best of them all. (Second, only, perhaps to Naruto in my book.)
This is of Elizabeta Baranovskaya, later to be known as Petrushka. The reference I used comes straight from Vol. 6.
