Horse Ghost

When a horse dies it is never an easy matter for it's owner. When this horse died it was not easy to move on and the owner, a young horse rider, cried every night despiratly wanting her childhood friend back.
One night looking up at the sky she saw a comet slowly making its way across the cloudless, endless, ocean of stars. It's long white tail hanging behind it gracefully as it peacfully sailed across the sky. The way it moved, the way it silently and calmly seemed to shift from so far away and yet has the power to break the eyes hold on the great constelations above one's head with its majesty. Up close it must be a force to behold but she was happy to watch it from far off. As the comet slowly dissapeared on to the other side of the horizon she just stood there, and smiled. Her heart pounded like the sound of hoofbeats and her mind wandered where it willed about her horse and the comet... and the spirit she thought she saw, for dissapearing over the horizon was the ghost of her horse.
