I'm collecting a bunch of these dragon ornaments, and I decided to draw and color one of them. I really wanted to try out these new color pencils (not Prismacolor) that I got recently (well, last Christmas), and I wanted to look at a reference and color it instead of making something up and putting color wherever; the coloring turns out wrong when I don't use a reference. Then, after getting it in the computer, I put in a background and darkened the dragon (the scanner made it too "overexposed").

What kind of pencils did you use? (Out of curiosity...)

And I can tell a lot of time and effort went into this! I can only wish I could draw dragons this well even WITH a guide! Awesome job!

I was getting tired of my old Crayola and some other cheap brand that splintered every time I sharpened them, so I found these new "Koh-I-Noor Finest-Hardtmuth-colour-woodless pencils (the whole pencil is used in coloring [with exception to the pencil's outer surface], instead of just the core).
