Quetzal

Funny how I start 'doodling' some random idea on my art program, and it ends up looking good (for being done, I'm thinking, whithin two hours). I started with the tail, then I had to grab an encyclopedia for the main body, as I was unsure about where the coloring should go, then I made a simple background for it (that I hope isn't too distracting). At first, when I was drawing the tail, I was going to make the whole picture realistic, then I decided to make the bird's body and wings look less realistic for some reason. I thought it looked more artistic, or perhaps it was just my mood.
