Death

I'm not really sure what you want me to say... ^_^" I guess it looks nice. But, there's a lot I can say about the frame you choose to draw and about how it compares to the original frame from the anime. (I hope I don't say anything you'll take wrong, though. O_o When I draw from screenshots, I look for every wrong detail in my version that I can find, and it's even easier to find that type of thing in other people's art... I think you did a nice job on the picture, though, even if I say a lot of things don't look quite right.)
(watches that part in the last two episodes) Hmm... at the beginning of the last episode, there's this frame that makes me feel like drawing it. It's a little after Ed throws up blood and he's turned his head. You can see some emotion in his eyes and him being between life and death is neat, as well as there being some movement in the frame and it being pretty close up.
The part you picked to draw, the camera is looking down at him, making Ed seem powerless. The camera being somewhat far away also gives the sense of Ed being powerless, because Ed's small - I mean, he's only taking up maybe half of the pic. But, his arms going out of the picture lessens that feeling some. Perhaps meaning it's not over yet, there's still a chance? The blood is the only thing moving in the scene, which makes Ed seem unnaturally still and at the same time emphasizes all the blood. The whiteness around Ed in your pic causes a feeling of emptiness, perhaps representing Ed being empty inside (the original frame also has an empty background. It had the same feeling but wasn't white). Although Ed isn't filling the picture, the blood is. Of course, to most people blood is a bad thing, and especially that much of it. So, for it to fill the picture like that, it means something bad, like death.

So... how you did on the picture, Ed is too thin and his arms don't look right. His face doesn't show as much emotion, either. I think I have problems with getting all three of those things right. When I draw Ed's body, I worry about making him too fat, but it's definitely possible to make him too thin. Hmm... I'm not exactly sure how to tell when he's too thin or too fat. Perhaps to know that his waist looks a little wider than his head, but I don't think that helps much. His body stays about the same width from his chest to his waist and it looks like you made his waist thinner. His arms seem stiff... The animators somehow make his arms look real, organic, and hint at the muscles he has under his jacket. I suppose that just takes practice. For his face, in the original frame, his eyes look curved and are smaller length-wise. His hair is pretty messed up, too, and although there's some loose strands in your pic, they're not as defined, as though you were holding back (I seem to find myself not adding enough contrast to pictures and other things, I think it's because I'm afraid of getting it wrong so I end up subconsciously trying to hide it, when attention should actually be drawn to it. I get the same feeling for his hair here). Um... There could be more contrast, more detail, and more blood on his chest, as well. As for the blood, the spot seems contained. In the actual frame, it looks free. Perhaps the stain should be a little bigger, look a little more random. The hole in the center doesn't look as deep as the original, meaning there should be darker shadows in the hole. His jacket would look really nice if it was darker, the shadows as well as the light parts. And the original frame seems to highlight the white outlines around his jacket (I'm not sure why but I love the contrast between the black and white. You'd have that if you make the jacket darker). His skin would look better with darker shadows (it would better highlight that he's dying, too. Dark shadows do that) - the actual frame has shadows around his eyes and if you really think about it, it may look a little like eye sockets. Now, about the detail. I've talked about some details, like the hair and eyes. Now... It looks like it was done in pencil or something. I can't tell exactly what, but it looks like it may have been hard to get details into the picture (like when I draw too small on paper). On the other hand, it may have been a somewhat large picture, but it is usually kind'a hard to get all the little details in a picture. Plus, if you have a bad screenshot it really hurts. (I think the eyes were the main thing that made me think of that. They're not as bright as the original frame, and it's hard to see them clearly) Hmm... Overall, I think the main thing I'd like to tell you is not to think of him as being some shapes put together. Because, for several years that's how I thought of pictures - triangular head, rectangles for arms, etc. But actually, you have to remember that people are more than that and every shape is connected, they flow together. I guess the arms and his head are the two things that make me think about that... I already mentioned his arms, but I can't help but feel as though his head isn't connected to his neck. I'm not sure why it looks that way, though. Perhaps if the neck was a little wider. His head also seems to be a different shape than the frame.

Looking back on this years later, I use  you as a prime example of Constructive Criticism to those who flat out insult a user's picture and then try to cover it up saying "I'm only using CC!" when others call them out for their rudeness.

Thanks again, I do value you as a good user of CC and a chill watcher. I might upload more here in the future..I have alot of art to upload lol.

Well I could have done better but some idiots on FAC have a habit of screaming 'TRACER!' plus after I drew this I discovered mah gold marker hence why his eyes and hair doesnt stand out as much, Also I was afraid to ink the picture for fear of screwing ups. Though I think I caught his expression rather well along with his paleness (Blame mah scanner for dat xP) But other than that I think I did a good job, best piccie of Edo I did thus far n-n

This picture is pretty good, it's obvious that it wasn't scraped up in 15 seconds, so kudos for taking the time to put effort into it. There's only one little thing that throws me off a bit, and that's the shadows under his arms. To me, it kinda looks like he's floating, because when something is flat on the floor, the shadow line isn't normally very thick. Other than that this turned out well. Keep practicing. :)

Mucho thankies and yeah I do need to kinda work on shadows, but I had to make them stand out alil cause of my cursed scanner, plus I was aiming to make the blood alil darker like in the screenshot but ah oh well it turned out pretty good. =3
