"Fire is not destruction, but simply rebirth.
And like the phoenix rising from the ashes; so
shall my new shaman world once cleansed with my holy flames...."
~Zeke/Hao Asakura quote (Me actually xP)
I got to admit; this is by far one of my most favorite of all the Hao pics I have drawn. Soo much so that I might even get it as a tattoo in the future, and come this sunday; try my hardest to get it on my birthday cake. It's my last one and I want it to go out with a bang. Hey I drew it so they cant say jack squat. xP
The theme of the pic is CLEARLY rebirth and what better way to represent that than the legendary phoenix? Must say I'm proud how the wings turned out despite tweaking them every now and then. Plus the frill and eye turned out wonderful along with the tail. Hao turned out amazing too, could have done better on the face but ah well. xP
And all hardcore Hao fans should know besides the rebirth factor WHY I chose a phoenix, if not than you fail as a Hao fan and are not worthy to stand in his prescence let alone kiss his feet mwahaha! x3
Also yes I did the kanji too, pain in the @$$ but after a few tries; I pulled it off weWT! nn
Anywhos; view, comment, and enjoys!

Hao looks so beautiful ^.^ And in an odd way I think the phoenix suits him perfectly. They're both very graceful with the contrast of him being calm and silent and the phoenix wild and strong. I love how the bird holds onto him =) This picture looks like a cross I think, with the Japanese letters (lovely work on them btw) continuing upwards. I am not familiar with this rebirth of his (if it has something to do with the manga/anime?), but I think it looks very good anyway=)
Great job!

And yeah those kanji letters were tough, but I managed. Just wish they didnt turn out soo shiny, blah must be the type of led im using. xP
Also the big reason the phoenix suits Hao is because; although he controls all the elements, he likes to use fire the most. And like the mighty phoenix; Hao can reincarnate himself, this being his third life. Neat huh? =3
Saisei 再生 is also the "play" button in VCRs, DVDs, etc.
The concept of the word is the same though. ;)
