Shmup Fanart: Twin Hawk

This month's shmup fanart is different from my previous ones: Twin Hawk by Taito created in 1989. Unlike my previous ones that take place in a psuedo future where aliens are attacking earth and you must defeat them with a fantastic battle machine of incredible power, Twin Hawk is based on real world enemies and allies.

It takes place in the 1930's where a dictator is planning on conquering a country which is called "R". They start their plans by poising the water and foods in a town called "S" and all the inhabitants get sick. In response, the military creates a small army called Project Twin Hawk to thawrt the evil dictator. Though just before launching the project, the enemy has found Project Twin Hawk and seek to destroy it. So now the military has no choice but to launch Twin Hawk into action, incomplete, by launching a P-37 Hawk along with some reconnaissance to stop the evil dictator.
