Terrel

Another age named in the original MYST (in this case, the soundtrack) but that is not explored. This is where the gold coins found in Sirrus' drawer in Stoneship came from. Terrel was once a mighty castle that was constantly fighting the vegetation trying to grow through their fortification. Eventually the plants grew rethless and the people asked their king to leave the area imediatly. But the king refused. Eventually however his castle crumbled along with him. The people were now exposed to the fearsome beasts of the jungle so they were forced to remain in what little fortification there was left.

Atrus came in hopes of finding Dn'i refugees. He would show the people of Terrel how to use nature to their advantage, such as using mushrooms as steps. Sirrus and Achenar were only interested in the burried treasure and dug the whole age except for one mighty gem that the Black Sails of the Mechanical age are looking for. Then they burnt the linking book and such a complex age was too difficult to rewrite. The people of Terrel were dependant of Atrus' advice and now were helpless.
