This pic should explain, where did my OC Silly Vassily get his nickname. All the Great-Rus imperialists have such low intelligence quotient.

Let us say, that Vassily is my own version of APH Russia - more accurate than chibi Justin Bieber.

A promised gift for my good friend Saltwater, who enjoys those Bolshock cartoons. :)

SaltwaterWow!  Thank you so much for this wonderful present!  :D
Yes, those Bolshock cartoons are amongst my favourites!
So much fun! :D

TeeJay87Glad you like the pic, especially since I picked our favourite theme. :)

Originally, I was planning to name the work something like "Elementary, my Comrade" or another pun from Sherlock Holmes; but while working, I've decided to go for parody of Captain Obvious.

One of the reason is Vassily himself - being himself wannabe "pride of the working class and vanguard of communist revolution" , he's expected to revolt against anything and anyone. xD

SaltwaterThis line : "Fishy.........."  is much better and funnier!
Besides, it may have several meanings....

TeeJay87 on
TeeJay87One Bolshock admiral may know those meanings, since he spends plenty of time on ships. ;)

alitta2Haha, clever discovery (of course, not seriously XD)! If they plan to do a propaganda against the consumption of alcoholic drinks, he would definitely be the "face of the campaign" XD

TeeJay87Perhaps Anonymous Alcoholics could use Vassily for their own campaigns, though achieving success with him would be close to impossible. LOL

alitta2Hehe, yeah, unless they use him as a counter-example :D

SaltwaterI feel such a great admiration for the depth of thought of Vasily the well-named!  ;-)

Although the size and scope of its powerful reasoning  were somewhat facilitated by ingesting large quantities of his favourite drink! :-)

TeeJay87His brain cells and liver would have benefited from casting prohibition upon Vassily; sadly it can't be achieved due to his Bolshock nature. xD

SaltwaterHard to fight the Bolshock nature!

Almost look like it is in their genes!  LOL

TeeJay87Wonder if he would believe in making socialist revolution against socialist revolution.

NKVD/KGB commissars supervising him wouldn't do so, but this only means Vassily isn't the stupidest member of the CPSU... :D

SaltwaterIf you plan to make a competition of stupidity amongst the bolshocks,
there would be so many great candidates.....
In fact there would be too many potential winners.
Too difficult to decide who is the best of the best! LOL

TeeJay87If Karl Marx hasn't been dead since 1883, he'd be the winner of The Most Stupid Bolshock Award - without him and the nonsense he was believing in for all his life, there would be no Soviet Union, no Warsaw Pact, no People's Republic of China, no North Korea and perhaps the worldwide leftists would have been less insane !

Though I'm not sure about the last one. LOL

SaltwaterVassily is a durak zhul-zhul !  :-)

TeeJay87He took traits from the environment he's been living in since his birth, including other comrades. ;)

SaltwaterIt is so easy to follow bad examples when you are a weak durak;
esp. when every popov around does the same,
and when it has become the local standard and custom.

TeeJay87If you add propaganda influencing people in every possible way - from early school till death, you get a mechanism which is indeed difficult to break by people lacking guts and dignity.

We have a joke about such Bolshock propaganda; I assume it's known to you, but nonetheless matching here:

From diary of member of the Communist Party of Russia:
Monday: I see Stalin in the Red Square.
Tuesday: I see Stalin on TV.
Wednesday: I see Stalin in newspaper.
Thursday: I hear Stalin in radio.
Friday: I fear opening fridge in the collective communist society I belong to.

SaltwaterSaturday:  I drink my bottle(s) of vodka behind the baracks.
I drink till I fall on the floor.
My face turned to the sky, it is all black, with myriads of blinking stars;
and there is a bigger and brighter star, it is the face of Stalin!

Sunday: I am lying in a coffin.
I hear them hammer the nails.
It is all black and cold now,
and the very last thing I see is the face of Stalin!

TeeJay87Original joke doesn't contain those 2 parts you mentioned, though I admit they match it perfectly. ;)
