This new project derived from  http://www.fanart-central.net/pictures/user/TeeJay87/846884/Penelope-Princess-of-Purrsia is based on Dungeons and Dragons module books covers from first and second D&D editions adventures, known for their evocative titles and iconic illustrations.

The cover you can see above was inspired by couple of module books from 1980s, mostly from Greyhawk and Al-Qadim campaign settings. Examples of those covers are listed below:

TeeJay87I've got idea for such picture, when I saw similar parody covers in World of Greyhawk http://www.greyhawkonline.com/wogcomic/title/wogstrip200d.htm , especially those listed below:

- http://www.greyhawkonline.com/wogcomic/title/wogstrip18a.htm

- http://www.greyhawkonline.com/wogcomic/title/wogstrip20a.htm

- http://www.greyhawkonline.com/wogcomic/title/wogstrip26a.htm

- http://www.greyhawkonline.com/wogcomic/title/wogstrip28a.htm

Apart from illustration and layout differing from covers in links above, I've replaced original jokes ( based on jargon understood only by D&D environment ) with humour touching international affairs and certain media from Western pop culture:

- Princess of Purrsia is pun from "Prince of Persia";

- name of the sultan from my module was developed from Iznogud comics ( Harun Arachid ) and Muhtesem Yuezil ( Kebab Effendy );

- "Jihadistan" - because jihad is one of main pillars of Islam;

- "Fraud Dynasty" is the way I nickname Saud Dynasty (because they cheat almost everyone in International politics, with their declared support of NATO and the way they aid terrorists in the Middle East).

TeeJay87Thanks, the font is useful for most of Middle-Eastern themed pictures. ;)
