Sketch inspired by - basically Scooby Doo in Space Marine Terminator armor from Warhammer 40,000.

Since his battle-sisters from Space Mousers chapter wear stylized cat head with wings on cuirasses & , I've thought that their sister chapter would benefit from similar heraldry, just with canine head. Intentionally based on Witcher's amulet to underline, that Emperor's Mongrels are also fighting with monsters threatening the mankind.

Took me two evenings to draw the character, coloring him will be more time consuming. Especially since our Dog of the Emperor needs some additional details on his outfit.

Scooby Doo belongs to Hanna-Barbera
Warhammer 40K and Space Marines belong to Games Workshop.

TeeJay87Those are staple Terminator equipment for Warhammer 40K - Storm Bolter and Power Fist . That emblem on Scooby's cuirass was inspired by the amulet Geralt of Rivia wears in novels, motion pictures and video games

TeeJay87Having googled for reference pictures, I've noticed that Scooby is nearly always portrayed either with scared or serene facial expressions; it's difficult to find a screencap showing him in anger.

So I've drawn this one from scratch and I'm pleased of the results. Now it's time to color him.  ;)

TeeJay87I've seen both cartoons:

- "Be Cool, Scooby Doo!" - I'm disappointed with the series, since it's basically "Scooby Doo, Where Are You ?" contaminated with "Family Guy/American Dad" style I'm not fond of;

- "Mystery Inc" is at least faithful to 1969-80s classics. I like the more developed plot and matching grim atmosphere, but it still lacks couple of details for a perfect successor. Had they introduced Scooby Dum and Scooby Dee, it'd had been an ideal remake in my opinion.
