My love departed,<br />
last night at dawn<br />
Im empty hearted,<br />

its strange however,<br />
the clock that day,<br />
had an extra number,<br />

it chimed a doomful tune,<br />

hands at thirteen,<br />
a crimson light.<br />

in stepped a figure,<br />
that held a scroll.<br />

and writen there in crimson ink,<br />
my husbands name,<br />
what could I think,<br />
was I to blame?<br />

I saw the figure,<br />
standing there,<br />
He had no expression,<br />
he did not care.<br />

its my life he ruined,<br />
yet solemn stayed,<br />
he then noticed,<br />
as I prayed.<br />

he said to me,<br />
Im sorry dear,<br />
but his life's end,<br />
is drawing near.<br />

do not worry,<br />
for one day, late,<br />
you'll see him again,<br />
