Yay- glorious extra colour!
His hair was actually going to be blue. I drew a guy many years ago in kind of a Cowboy Bebop-type style and he had blue, DBZ-ish hair. I named him Ward. ...He wasn't drawn very well and I made his legs too short (the first and probably only time for that!). So, in tribute to that old and mostly crappy drawing, I named this guy 'Ward'.
But, I put the blue on his hair in Photoshop and it didn't look right. The bright red felt more in keeping with his look and personality.
