Description

The Monkey King, in all his glory. I'm not too good with detailing and complicated outfits, orz, so sorry about my inability to line things up and whatnot... but I'm somewhat satisfied with the face and some details, so I'll let it stick.
I really love WuKong. I grew up watching the animated as well as the live-action episodes, and he's a really popular character in chinese culture still. Of course, I've not the ability to do him much justice, so I anime'd him up and whatnot. u___u; (I don't know how to draw anything else... sorry... it's really kinda sad... orz...)

But anyway, here he is. I figure in the US he's mostly known for accompanying Sanzo around, but before that, wreakin' his hell in heaven, he was pretty badass. He always had a really nice rebellious and playful streak.
I might draw him some more, or some other chinese stuff~ heheh...

XDDD It's just incredible. And I wish I'd watched those things, but I'm American. T_T The first glimpse of this character I got was from DBZ and Saiyuke. *le sigh*

Awww. The episodes are pretty childish, but I still love them regardless. :) It's a pity... who knows, maybe I can go scrounge them up on YouTube or something... but to be honest, they have very little foreign stuff. :/ Well, of the kind I'm interested in. XD

Are they on youtube? I don't really know the title, so I couldn't look for it. They'd be pretty cool to see, though. =3 (And I still love Saiyuki. Sorry. XDDD)

*SIGH* I found the 1961 animation "Havoc in Heaven" on YouTube, which is awesome, but... only the first five min are subbed. Another guy has all of it uploaded, but subbed only in chinese.

...If you want though, I could totally write down the dialogue in a notepad for you to follow through with. 8DDDDD;
I WOULD DO IT, TOO. I WOULD.
(It's an OLD, OLD animation, as you can see... with really sharp music, but it's still a classical favorite. :) )

I'm 'fraid I don't know how to sub. But... I heard there's not a lot of dialogue, and I'm doing the next best thing (which is really lame, sorreh~ D; )
I'm writing up the dialogue translated into a notepad, then posting it up. Would you be interested? ;D

Mmn, I'm not sure what it translates to... but they have episodes of Journey To The West and Monkey King all the time in china. Sorryyyy~ u___u; (they're somewhat childish and also somewhat lame... LOL chinese special effects are damn terrible, sorry...)
But I grew up on them and I love them~ ;D

And I don't mind, I have the magical ability to revert my mind to whatever age level necessary to enjoy something =D
Ah, the days of staying up till 5 in summer and watching duel masters =D That show is amazingly entertaining when you're sitting in your room with a pot full of buttery rice, tea, and a sketch pad at 5 am in the summer D= <3
