This is from something I wrote a really, really long time ago(ah, nostalgy c:)
It's about a water goddess called Lynn. She was lonely down under the water, even with all the water creatures surrounding her; so she took a human form and went to land in search for company. After meeting this young girl at the age of five years old, she never wanted to return to the ocean again. She stayed in the human world for a long time, resulting in disasters- all somehow involving water. In the end, she couldn't stay in the human world anymore, and to repair the damage that she's done, she went back to the ocean. From then on, the goddess was never to be seen, as she went down to the deepest depths of the ocean, surrounded by solitude and silence.
