hey y'all, it's Lizzy. here's my entry for the mother's day contest, finally. I tried doing cell shading on the foreground characters since my normal shading was looking really wonky to me. not 100% happy with the finishing product, but it's alright..xD so yeah, there's me and two of my dog characters, Santino and Chiyo. since it's pretty cold here in colorado and we still have snow in the mountains right now, I figured this would be a good depiction of how me and my characters would interact. derpdeederp. <3 I know this has to go through approval first, but I hope it still gets accepted into the contest.. oO

*favs* OH my goodness, your cell shading is fabulous. I love how EXCITED everyone is and...the BACKGROUND! I mean, it is fabulous looking at the crazy expressions and obvious mother-is-going-freaky-with-her-kids moment, but looking at the pretty clouds, hills, and sky makes me calm and relaxed as well. You art has become unbelievably smooth (maybe because this is CG; I would not mind seeing more of your traditional art again for kicks)!

really..? I think my cell shading needs work, I think it looks a little sloppy, but I'll try it again soon. >3< I haven't done a fully coloured picture in traditional media for a loonnng time. I should try it again soon, I'm probably realllly rusty. ..n' yes, Santino is the blonde one. x3

as for the bg characters..well, I dunno what they are really, they're just fellow critters sledding. xD thanks lucky! <3

You know, it is scary when a picture wins an FAC contest, and not even 10 minutes after I put up the news, the picture is already up in Popular Works. I am still confused about the Popular Works' logarithm! How does it KNOW.

Site staff can only manually put Featured Work on. Popular Works are solely computer-chosen from a system of highest views, favs, votes, comments, etc.

I NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW THAT THING WORKS SO I CAN GIVE PEOPLE BETTER EXPLANATIONS!
