I just happened to notice your pic on the homepage, and I just wanted to give you a quick piece of advise. You can download the program "Picasa" for free. It's by Google and you can use it to adjust the color on your pics. I'd suggest you simply turn down the brightness and turn up the contrast a little bit. It would make the details a lot easier to see.
