The work on the scales is pretty good.
Anyways, I agree with Cubrea_Ymtic about the scales. However, I also like the designs on his torso and his necklace, and the way that his hands aren't really quite hands intrigues me. In his profile, it says he's an Aquain. What's an Aquain, exactly? Is it like a water elemental?
