Description

A pic showing the steps it took drawing and colorng the previous pic of Zero I posted. It took me a little more than usual.

1 Base drawing, to get the pose right.
2 Cleaned up base drawing, and added a few features, such as eyes.
3 Details, drawn in red for easier distinction from the base lines.
4 Cleaned up detail lines.
5 Used photoshop to change the lines to black.
6 Added swords(should've done earlier) and base colors.
7 Detailed coloring, and added energy blades.

7 steps? My method is only 4: draft, outline, color, shade and highlight. No wonder my art isn't as good. ):

Usually for me too. I was trying a new approach, and it seemed to work really well! (I used it on the next pic I posted)

That's really cool! I hardly ever go through those steps like I should. I think I might start doing it more now though.

Ya'know I've never really done the stick figure thing at the beginning of drawing a pose, but I think it's about time I stop being so lazy and try it XD

I don't usually draw it, but I think it will really help with poses. So I need to practice and draw the line base more.

I've been drawing him for years, and he's still not real easy! But yeah...
