It's a Zaporozhets ZAZ-968m made in Zaporozhye (today in Ukraine) between 1979 and 1994. It was popular mostly in the Soviet Union, but in the other socialist countries as well. A common (and false) urban legend says that the Zaporozhets's engine was used as a starter motor in the Soviet T-34 tanks. However it had an own MeMZ-968 1.2L engine with 42hp.
An other interesting fact is that the car was a virtual copy of the German NSU Prinz (or it was just very similar to it).

Hope you like it!

GeeAwesome, one of my fave cars of the soicalist era! Nice, vivid colors and shading, I especially like the rear and the wheels, but I'm not quite satisfied with the front. Anyway, you did well once again, I'm adding this to my faves! Hopefully I'll also be able to come up with something very soon.;D Fun fact: My Dad used to repair cars like this, and he said, it was made of pure iron, it was almost impossible to fix a damage. He also said, that the "Záporjóska" was so loud at the speed of 100 km/h, you could not even hear your voice in the car.;D

alitta2Thanks! Well yeah, there are some mistakes, and I missed the shading, but I'm gonna corect it as soon as I can.
I knew its engine was too loud, but was it really from pure iron? I didn't know that!

GeeWell not exactly pure iron, but iron at least. That's why the engine was loud at a high speed, because the whole car was too heavy.;D

WH2007Yay! Another eastern european classic XD In our country it was called "Zaporożec". It was a copy of NSU Prinz. The funniest fact was that the car had a strange exhaust fumes heating system to keep the driver and his passengers warm (but only when the engine was running)
