FSO Syrena Sport-B day gift for WH2007

Description

The Syrena sport was a Polish sports car prototype made in 1960 by a group of engineers at the FSO Personal Car Factory (Fabryka Samochodów Osobowych). The only prototype was first shown to the public on 1st of May (on the International Workers' day). However, it never went into mass production, because the Polish communist government found it "too imperialistic" and unnecessary for a worker, so the only prototype had to be destroyed.

Thanks! Yes, it was in its time, and it could be a success not only this side of the former Iron Curtain, but beyond as well.

YAY! Thank you for such a great picture! It's certainly one of your best car pics. I really like the shading, lights and the grainy texture of the picture. I know the reference picture. There were only three photos of the car. As I remember, the one you've used as a reference had a Syrena Mikrobus at the backround. The cars were tested on the speedway race track.

The speedway is right, but there's only the sports car on that pic, but maybe it's just a part of the whole photo. I found it on Wikipedia (both on the English and Polish).
