Description

Melkus RS 1000 was a sports car made between 1969 and 1979 in the former German Democratic Republic (GDR). The car was powered by a tuned mid-mounted Wartburg 3-cylinder 2-stroke engine from the Wartburg 353, and had gull-wing doors.
In time for the 50 year jubilee a limited series of 15 RS 1000 will be made. The first sports car of this series was presented on November 26, 2006.
Also appeared pictures about an updated version of the car, that is reportedly in developement, but its launch-date on market is still unknown.

Nice job! I especially like the front! It's hard to belive this car could be a sports car with that engine, but its still awesome!

Thanks! Well, yeah, it's hard to believe, but even a racing series existed in the GDR where these cars were used.

Thanks! Sure, I've just planned to draw a bus, that features a cartoon figure who drives it, but probably I'll upload it to the vehicles category, because the bus would be more significant on the pic (but maybe I'll make two separate pics with different backgrounds and colors, I don't know yet).
I can only submit it (or them) sometime next week, but I hope it's not a problem ;)
