the volcanic yakota lives in and around volcanoes and is immune to the immense heat they have even been known to swim in the molten magma as a means of defense their skin is usually burning hot however they are able to control the temperature of their skin also as a means of defense the tips of their tails are constantly on fire it is still unknown how this is accomplished. also as a way to defend themselves they are covered in plates that most of the time resemble cooled lava and they can change the look of those plates and scales to resemble magma in all it's forms soo that they can blend in with their enviroment. like all yakotas the volcanic yakota has three sets of fangs one of which holds venom that burns like lava when injected. the sails on their back and tail are used for temperature control, courtship displays, and for gliding on thermal updrafts making one of the very few yakota subspecies that is not entirely bound to the earth
