If you'd like to improve your figure drawing (since you said it sucked and I'm guessing you don't want to feel like your pics suck), I would suggest finding some good anatomy books-- Burne Hogarth and Bridgeman have some good ones-- and study them.
But instead of doing big, whole images.. work just on parts of the body and then build from there.
That's what I did ^_^ Not that what worked for me will work for you, though :)
