Description

This was originally a speed painting I was doing messing around in black and white. I knew I wanted to add in red in certain places in the background. Then I ended up spending the rest of my time making brushes for the blood spatters. XD Butterflies was from a brush I found elsewhere though.

Painted in Photoshop 7 from scratch.

That's really neat. I like how you did the spatters and drips like that. I don't get how the butterflies incorperate into the image though. Usualy, they symbolize peace and happiness, and red (expecially in the form of drips and splatters) usually symbolizes death, and pain. Adding the samuri with a sword makes me think that he has a violent personality. So where do the butterflies come in, or are they just a random detail to fill in space? I'd love to hear your creative interpretation of this picture. But anyhow! You have great skill in drawing and shading faces! I envy you!

Actually I was thinking more along the lines of in Bleach, they use black butterflies as messengers. I thought using them might be kind of an interesting juxtaposition in this pic since you don't typically see butterflies paired off with blood spatters.
I'm actually kind of glad someone asked me that. XD

Ooooh, this is from Bleach! My sister watches it, but I never really got interested. Black butterfly messengers, that's really neat. Issit bettter than FMA?

I guess it depends on what you like in anime. I'd say it's a little more action and less drama than FMA. Both are pretty good, I like FMA quite a bit but I myself am more into Bleach.
