this scene is atually from Phantom, a prequal to PoTO, by susan kay. It is a very sad book. Little Erik is turning 5, and he asks his mom if she is giving him a gift, she says yes and asks what he wants. He then asks can I have anything I want? Within reason she says. He asks Can I have two, one for now, and one for when the first is used up. Allright she said, what is it you want? Well....., he mutters, Tell me or you won't get anything at all! I want two...., Two what! Two kisses, he asks. NO! she breaks down crying, You musn't ever, ever, ask for that!
