I had never heard of this game before.
The weapon is similar to a ninja star, being thrown at the opponents.

It's a video game from 1999 https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Planescape:_Torment - people like it for philosophical/ethical background, dialogue system and character development (agreed those in PT are better than in most of modern video games); still the game hasn't somehow convinced me to like it that much.

Those "ninja stars" you're referring to are universally called "shuriken" https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shuriken

Correct, the ninja ninja star I was referring to was "Shuriken". I did not know the universal name of the weapon! Now I do not forget anymore! hehe
The one used by Misao was a Bo Shuriken in the form of Kunai!
