alitta2Cool! I didn't know they used a helmet that has a similar look to the British Brodie one (at least after WWI).

TeeJay87They did, until M1 steel helmet became available in mid 1942. During the Pearl Harbor attack 1941, first battle of Guam December 1941 and the fall of the Philippines 1942, all the American armed forces in Pacific wore those M1917A1 helmets as combat head wear.

From what I remember, US Navy personnel and USMC units protecting Alaska retained M1917s till the end of 1942

TeeJay87Neat, I can recognize his M1903 Springfield rifle, Corporal rank insignia and M1917A1 steel helmet, based on British Brodie's pattern.
